PATENT SEARCHING SERVICES
The categories of patent searches that I am able to conduct perform include novelty, patentability, freedom to operate, validity, collection, landscape and name searches. I can carry out mechanical, electrical and electronic patent searches, and any type of general search that does not relate specifically to chemical structures.
A patent search can cover the patents and patent applications of the major countries and regions of the world including the patent documents of the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the United States of America, China, Japan, South Korea, the European Patent Organisation (EPO), and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
In general, I am able to provide the results of a patent search between one and five weeks after a search being authorised, depending on the nature of the search.
Novelty Search
A patent novelty is a search for patent documents to check if an invention is novel (new) and is not obvious before applying for a patent.
Patentability Search
A patentability search is very similar to a novelty search and is also a search for patent documents to verify if an invention is novel (new) and is not obvious before applying for a patent.
Freedom to Operate Search
A freedom to operate search, also known as a clearance or infringement search, is a search to locate any active patent documents that could potentially be infringed or violated by a proposed new product or process.
Validity Search
A validity search, also referred to as an invalidity search or prior art search, is a search to locate any patent or non-patent literature documents that could be used to challenge the novelty and inventiveness of one or more claims of a patent document.
Collection Search
A collection search, also known as a state of the art search, is a search to locate patent documents related to a particular subject matter.
Landscape Search
A landscape search is a search to locate patent documents that provide insights into the innovations and trends within a specific area of subject matter or technology.
Name Search
A name search is a search to locate patent documents associated with one or more individuals or companies.
DESIGN SEARCHING SERVICES
The kinds of design searches that I am able to carry out include freedom to operate, validity and name searches, and I am able to perform design searches relating to any subject matter.
A design search can cover the design patents or registered designs of the major countries and regions of the world including the designs of the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the United States of America, China, Japan, South Korea, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

A design validity search, also referred to as a design prior art search, is a search to locate any design patents or registered designs that could be used to challenge the validity of a design.
Name Search
A design name search is a search to locate design patents or registered designs associated with one or more individuals or companies.
